Lori L. Silverman
Lori is the owner of Partners for Progress,
a management consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations
achieve and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. Her expertise
spans work in the areas of business strategy, enterprise-wide change
and performance improvement. Industries she has consulted with include:
petroleum, continuous process, chemical distribution, high technology,
retail, paper, insurance, financial services, health care, airline,
higher education, manufacturing, communications, association management,
and consumer, business, and engineering services. She has also worked
with state and federal government agencies and military units.
Lori is sought after as a keynote speaker, having positively impacted
the lives of 1000s of conference and meeting participants. She was
a major contributor to the book, Planning for Quality, Productivity,
and Competitive Position and the co-author of Critical SHIFT:
The Future of Quality in Organizational Performance and Stories
Trainers Tell: 55 Ready-to-Use Stories to Make Training Stick.
Her new book is titled, Wake
Me Up When the Data is Over: How Organizations Use Stories to Drive
Results. Over the past 15 years she has published
over 50 articles and workbooks on strategic planning, self-managed
teams, consumer obsession, performance improvement, free agents,
social responsibility, coaching, and enterprise-wide change.
Lori holds a B.S. degree in psychology and an M.S. degree in counseling
and guidance, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and
an M.B.A. degree from Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin. She
serves as adjunct faculty at the Fluno Center for Executive Education,
University of Wisconsin-Madison and the School of Continuing Education,
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
